June Marie Geiger

June was born June 1, 1924, passed away September 6, 2022, she was 98 years young at the time of her passing.

June was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Louis Fillippo Boero & Margaret Brunetto Boero Swiegert. June attended high school and business school in Pocatello, she worked at the post office for a while and then Montgomery Wards until their closing.

June met the love of her life Ernie Geiger at a dance in Pocatello; they were later married in Philadelphia, Pa. on May 16, 1945. They made Pocatello their home.

Family was always what mattered most to June. She loved to cook and made a special birthday cake for each family member. She loved to spend time in Island Park fishing with Big Ern ( she usually out fished him), she loved teaching the grandkids how to count by playing card games and checkers with them, Sunday dinners were a highlight for her or if you just happened to drop by at lunch for one of her grilled cheese sandwiches. The coffee pot was always on.

June is survived by her daughter Margie (Jack) Reynolds-Vier of Colorado Springs, Ernest (Patricia) Geiger, Pocatello, Steven (Jodie) Geiger of Pocatello and William(Kendall) Geiger of Pocatello, as well as 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, a sister Dolores Smoot of Pocatello and numerous nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Geiger, sister Alice Noyes and son-in-law Robert (Bob) Reynolds.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in section 43 West located at 1520 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID 83201.
