June Rose Elder

June Rose (Wiklund) Elder was born in Firth ID on September 4, 1944, to Elmer Joseph Wiklund & Adeline Carrie Casper. Graduating from Firth High School, she loved to be outside working in the yard & garden. She found joy all around her and anxiously spread this happiness with others. In 1960 she met the love of her life at a church sledding party. Glen Otto Elder of Shelly and June were married on Dec 4, 1964, in Firth ID. Early family years were spent in Idaho Falls, moving to Pocatello in 1974. You could find June working right next to Glen most days. Together they built and operated Pocatello RV Storage for 40 years. June worked at the Pocatello Hospital for 30 years, but her passion was homemaker, mother, and Grandmother. June was active in her church, a very hard worker, always willing to play with you, and always loving.

June is survived by Children Elaine Prokschl-Bailey of ID, Diane Elder Harding of OR, and Karen Wiklund of ID. Grandchildren Alexander Bailey, JoHanna Harding, Sabrina Harding, Wyatt Bell, Karsten Bell, Hailie Cowdell, Chase Busch, Landon Dexter, Raistlin Dexter. Great Grandchildren Cayden Cowdell, Adaline & Beau Busch. Also survived by siblings Dale Wiklund, Marilyn Modine, Sister-in-law Judy Walters, and Brother-in-law Ron Beelaert.

Preceded in death by Husband Glen Otto Elder & siblings Jimmie, Myrle, Lenard Wiklund, and Dorothie Ockerman. Sister-in-law Nancy Wagner.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Calvary Alliance Church, 800 Marinus Lane, Pocatello, ID with coffee hour to follow.  Family burial will take place at 3:45 at the Riverview Cemetery in Firth, Idaho.
