Juel Bristol

On May 1, 2023, Juel Lamont Bristol passed away at age 88 peacefully at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.

Juel was born February 11, 1935 in Pocatello and was the third child born to Arthur and Sarah Madsen Bristol. Growing up Juel took a keen interest in race cars and later became very proficient working on all types of engines and transmissions. He worked on everything from airplane engines in the Airforce to Diesel engines for the Union Pacific Railroad. Juel was always tinkering in his garage or riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his work buddies. He was always working hard to provide for his family and coming up with ways to fix anything that needed to be repaired.

Juel is survived by, and was married for 56 years to his wife, Eva Bristol; his children, Jay Bristol, Jeremy Bristol, Sarah Bristol, also Anita, Bradley, Judy K, and Juelie; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jolene Hottel, Judi Robinson, and Ann Mowrey; brother-in-law, Chet Mowery; and many nieces and nephews.

Juel is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sarah Madsen Bristol; and his wife’s parents, Norma and Bernell Bristol; his son, Donald Bristol; brother, Bob Bristol; sisters, Bonnie Bristol and Anna Rae Buck; brothers-in-law, Boyd Buck, Sidney Bristol, Tim Bristol, and Duane Hottel.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 10-11 am at Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho, with Military Graveside Services to follow starting at 11:30 am, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho. 50 East, Row 8.
