Judy Wahl lost her battle with cancer February 1, 2021. She passed peacefully as her husband of nearly 62 years held her hand. Judy, born Judy Beth Weir, November 30, 1942, was a fighter to the end.
Judy was attending Pocatello High School when she met Edward Wahl, the love of her life. They married on July 20, 1959. Except for living a while in Burley, they spent their entire married life in Pocatello where Ed worked for the railroad and Judy worked as head housekeeper for Motel 6. Judy and Ed were blessed with three children, Stacy (Don) Burns of Idaho Falls, Steven (Michelle) Wahl of Idaho Falls, and Robyn (Brian) Walters of Chubbuck.
Their children have fond memories of watching "Hee Haw" and of their parents dancing in the kitchen. Judy spent her spare time playing pool in a ladies league, she enjoyed hanging out with friends and trips to Jackpot with her family.
Besides her children, Judy is survived by a brother, Thomas (MaryAnn) Weir of Indianapolis, IN, three sisters, Peggy Richards of Midvale, UT, Colleen Hall of Boise, ID, and Kathy (Val) Wuthrich of Pocatello, ID; and nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Louise, Susanne and Linda Kay; and one brother, William C. Weir.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Avenue in Pocatello, Idaho with a viewing for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Avenue Pocatello, ID.
