Judith Hoffman

Judith "Judy" Hoffman, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 1, 1940 in Carson, North Dakota, the daughter of Christian and Hilda Bauer. Judy grew up in Mandan, North Dakota; it was there she met her sweetheart, Leo Hoffman. They were married on August 1, 1956. They had three sons; Doug, Lenny and Monte. Judy worked as head custodian at Syringa Elementary for over 20 years where she made many, many lifelong friends with the school staff and students. We lost track of all the times she was approached by many people of all ages asking her if her name was Judy or "Are you the Judy from Syringa school?" Sometimes this happened when we were many miles from home. This continued until recently and Judy loved it! She attended her church every Sunday and had many, many good friends there. Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leo Hoffman; sons, Doug (Linda), Lenny and Monte; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thank you to all who treated her so very well.
