Juanita Baker

Juanita Baker, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left her mortal life on June 1, 2009 to join her eternal companion, James Russell Baker, to continue their journey together for all of eternity. Juanita Annie Putnam was born October 27, 1923 to Orson Charles Putnam and Estella Hazel Devenburg. She married her sweetheart, James Russell Baker, on September 16, 1941. On August 12, 1983 their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls temple. Because two people fell in love, a family was created. Juanita will be deeply missed by their children, Russell Lee Baker (Jewel), Lona Baker, their grandchildren, Lisa Scott Larson (Eric Scott), Betsy Allen, Scott Baker (Kerry), Russell Christ (Kristy), Cory Christ (Jen), their great-grandchildren, Jarred Scott (Heather), April Alger (Michael), Jody Allen, Michael, Amanda Vincent Baker, JR , Alicia Christ, Scott, Joni, Sharna, Taylor Christ, and their great-grandchildren, Sierra Scott, Hannah, Emma, Marcia, Millie, Faith Henrickson, and Kalieigh Tristan Alger, her siblings, Barbara (George) Richardson, Alice Peck, June (Odell) Daniels, Oscar (Joyce) Noreen and Nola (Dennis) Thompson including many nieces, nephews, and friends, including, Jean Burke, Martha Bray and Darla Evans. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart,
