Joyce Mendenhall Green Cleary

Joyce B. Cleary, 73, of Pocatello, Idaho, returned to her loving Father in Heaven on October 21, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born to Woodrow and Grace Mendenhall on May 29, 1942 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She attended Valley High School where she graduated in 1960. Joyce then went on to work for the State of Idaho for many years before retiring to spend time with her family, fishing, camping and playing slot machines. She was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz and Boise State Broncos, and enjoyed watching them play. Joyce loved family get-togethers and always brought a joyful and loving spirit to any gathering. Her sense of humor and practical jokes will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 28 years, Clifford Cleary of Pocatello, ID; sister, Connie (Kirby) Harkness of Heyburn, ID; daughters, Melanie Green of Las Vegas, NV; Stacey Loftus of Pocatello, ID; son, Gary Green, Jr. of Pocatello, ID; step-sons, Jim (Kathleen) Cleary of Pocatello, ID; Bob (Linda) Cleary also of Pocatello, ID; 11 grandchildren: Tyson, Joshua, Jessica, Kiley, Jacob, Autumn, and Triston; and four great-grandchildren: Haiden, Payton, Dakota, and Kaylie.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Grace Mendenhall; sister, Lois Allen, and previous husband, Gary Green.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Krawtz and all the staff at Portneuf Medical Center for the loving care and attentiveness shown to Joyce and her family over the past few weeks.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. A viewing will be held 6-8:00 PM, Friday evening.
