Joyce Cameron Muhlestein, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Joyce Cameron Muhlestein was born May 24th, 1946 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. She lived near her grandpa who was a salt flat farmer on the coast, and she never lost her love for the ocean.
Her family moved across the country to L.A. and in high school she made lifelong friends – the Tootiewah sisterhood – and met the love of her life. She married David Muhlestein on July 13th, 1968 in the Los Angles, California Temple. She had four children who meant the world to her and she raised them in Green River, Wyoming.
Family was everything to her and she taught them the importance of adventure, often through astronomy. She would take her kids out on a school night just to catch a glimpse of a meteor shower. She also understood and taught the importance of service, both to those around her and many people on the other side.
She is an incredibly loved mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. We will have a celebration for the incredible life she lived this summer.
We'd like to express our gratitude to the wonder team at Encompass Health and Hospice for their kindness and compassion. Because Joyce loved service so much please consider a donation to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. It would mean the world to her.
Graveside services for Joyce will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Santa Clara, Utah.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the "Tribute Wall" tab above.
