Josie Honstetter

Josie Honstetter,60, passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2014. Josie was born, March 17, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to Rene N. Schenk and Lois Johnson Schenk. Josie was raised in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. After high school she attended and graduated
from the I.S.U. Culinary Arts program. In her earlier years she enjoyed working as a bartender
as she was able to make and keep many friends. She had various jobs which included working at School District 25 Central Kitchen, Ballard Medical and Heinz Food. Josie had a great work ethic and worked until she could no longer stand. She worked hard, so she could play hard.

Josie married Richard Paul Honstetter and together, they had 2 children, Chalis and Teena. Josie and Richard were married for 17 years. Later on, she met Jon Mullenax and they spent over 15 years together.

Josie loved playing pool for many years. She also loved camping, if the weather was warm, tending to the campfires and watching horror movies.

Josie was preceded in death by both parents, ex-husband, Richard Honstetter and a brother, Bryan Schenk.

She is survived by: her children, a son, Chalis (Tara) Honstetter of Pocatello, ID., a daughter, Teena (Burt) Barbre of Irvine, CA., brothers, Stan (Marilyn) Schenk, Dee (Valerie) Schenk both of Pocatello, ID., a sister, Gloria Schenk of Pocatello, ID., companion, Jon Mullenax of Pocatello,
ID., her 20 lb. cat, Cricket and 4 grandchildren.
