Nick entered the world kicking and screaming on February 23, 1936, and never quit until the last few weeks of his life. When his voice could no longer be heard, he peacefully left us on August 20, 2014 surrounded by his family at his home.
On June 8, 1991, Nick and Loni Henderson decided to take a whirl around the dance floor that lasted for 23 years. Music was a big part of Nick's life as well as horses, hunting, fishing, and baseball; but he felt most at peace out on the open road in his big truck. A special thank you to Reed Hurst of Bannock County Road and Bridge Department and Clark Tank Lines.
Nick is survived by his wife, Loni Henderson Lish, his children, Sandra Pevney, Penny Lish, and Patti Tobin; four step-children, Shane and Heidi Rasmussen, and Mark and Annie Otteson, as well as two sisters, Coleen Norton and JoAnne Norton; one brother, Wayne Lish; six grandchildren and 9 ½ great-grandchildren.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Joe Lish; mother, Beth Lish Kelly; two sons, Michael Lish and Kim Lish; son-in-law, David S. Pevney; brother-in-law, Willis Norton; and sister-in-law, Cecile Lish.
Per Nick's request there will be no services. His cremation arrangements are being cared for by Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Condolences may be sent to his family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com. "He's gone truckin"
