Our loving Father, PaPa Joe Joe, Brother, Uncle and Friend returned to his Heavenly Father and was reunited with his wife on Friday, January 2, 2015.
Joseph Lowell Morrison was on born March 4, 1937 in Downey Idaho to Leland James "Boge" Morrison and Jennie Adesa Underwood. He joined two older brothers and then was joined by four more brothers and one sister. He was raised on the family farm in Virginia, Idaho where he learned to be a hard worker but also found time for a little mischief with his brothers. He graduated from Downey High School in 1955 where he played basketball and football. He then attended Snow College where he played football with his brother Dan. He was drafted into the US Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. During one of his breaks in the Army he met the love of his life, Annie "Joyce" Christensen. They were married on September 20, 1961. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After he was discharged from the Army they moved back to Pocatello where they raised their three children. Joe worked for Garrett Freight lines for over 23 years in their Parts Department. He retired from Frasure Construction. He and his partner Dennis Rowe sheered sheep all over South East Idaho for many years. Joe and Joyce bought a farm in Tyhee Idaho in 1973 and Joe loved working on the farm and raising sheep. He took great pride in his garden and shared his harvest with family and friends. Joe loved hunting and fishing and passed that love to his son, James. His idea of the perfect vacation was loading up the camper and taking the family fishing. Joe loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughters who had PaPa Joe Joe wrapped around their little fingers. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and held many different callings.
Joe is survived by his children Jeff (Christine), Austin Texas; Jana Kay, West Valley City, Utah; James (Heidi), West Valley City, Utah; his granddaughters Hadlee and Makay; brothers Lynn (Joan), McCammon Idaho; Dan (Barbara) Inkom Idaho; sister Lola Morrison, Brigham City, Utah; sisters-in-law Ida Nelson, Meridian, Idaho; Iva (Lavon), Littlefield, Arizona; Valoy Morrison, St. George Utah; Lorraine Morrison, Inkom, Idaho; Barbara Morrison, Virginia, Idaho.
