Joseph Dean Covert Loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away July 20 th 2012. He was born May 8 th 1962 to Coralie Smith and Joseph F. Covert in Pocatello Idaho, As a young adult Joe was very competitive, Headstrong, he was definitely the live wire of his family, but he was also very compassionate to others, He attended Pocatello high school where he was coached in basketball by his Uncle Tom, though he did not graduate he did receive his high school equivalent GED. Joe lived in Pocatello ID for most of his life where he got married to his fist wife GaryAnn and had 2 small boys Christopher and Joey Covert, they were married for 4 yrs before divorcing then Joe met and married Barbara Epperson and had 2 children with her Amber and Nicholas Covert, they were married for 18 yrs before divorcing, even though divorced they stayed very close friends. Joe was currently single at the time of his passing but he had many people surrounding him with love and affection. Joe was a professional painter most of his working career he worked for US transformers for awhile before starting up with Supreme Painting after working there many yrs his boss Brad Berrett sold him the company and finally he had something that was his. He owned Supreme painting for about 8yrs before a lot of heavy irreplaceable equipment was stolen. After a few falling incidents and almost the loss of his life Joe was placed on social security disability. Though not "employed" Joe was still a hard worker around the mobile home park where he lived he would cut grass for the elderly people in the park he was always making himself available to whatever anyone needed help with. In his free time Joe enjoyed fishing with his brothers and son he liked being outdoors whether it was camping with his wife and children, hunting or just going on hiking trips and swimming with his son Nick and his son in law Craig. He spent every second he could with his grandchildren, the apple of his eye was his granddaughter Kylea Maylee Covert, she was everything to him and he was everything to her, The final piece of the puzzle to Joe's heart would be his new little grandson Kaydin Jean Covert, He was complete with his little girl and his little boy he even put matching crosses on each forearm for them 1 red and 1 blue with their names going down the center. Joe loved spending good quality family time and going to his mother's house where he would enjoy the company of all his brothers and sisters for big BBQ's and family dinners, Joe always enjoyed the time that he got to spend with his sister and brothers most of them you could say were his "partners in crime" he loved them all dearly. Joseph Dean Covert survived by his partner Barbara Covert of Pocatello ID, Father to Amber Covert and Nick Covert of Pocatello ID, Father to Christopher covert and Joey Covert of Montana, Brother to Robert Adams of Port Orchard WA, John Adams of Pocatello ID, Cristal Covert of Pocatello ID, Joseph R Covert of Pocatello ID, Tracy Covert of Las Vegas NV, Judy Adams of Tacoma WA, Randy Adams of Pocatello ID, Step-son to Sandy Covert of Pocatello ID, Ken Smith of Pocatello ID. Joe was preceded in death by his father Joseph F. Covert, Stepfather Randy Adams, Grandfathers Joseph W. Covert and George Betty, Grandmothers Thelma Covert and Edith Floyd.
