Joseph Edward Buttram, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away at home surrounded by family on June 25, 2024.
Joseph was born in Wyandotte, Oklahoma to Gladys Millholin and Lacey Buttram. He was the youngest of five children.
Joe met the love of his life, Amy June Cherry, and married her on April 21st, 1966, in Driggs, Idaho.
Joe and Amy shared five children together. They spent many years in Oregon and Idaho but called Victor, Idaho their home.
Joe loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Talking about fishing and cars was the way to his heart.
Though Joe seemed like a grumpy old man most of the time, he had the biggest heart and was always willing to help when he could.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Lacey Andrew Buttram, his brother-in-law and best friend, Wesley ‘Biff’ Cherry, and all of his siblings.
Joe is survived by his wife, Amy Buttram, his sons, Curtis Buttram, Joseph (Janice) Buttram, Mary (Nicolas) Perez, Kenneth (Amber) Buttram, grandkids, and great grandchildren.
Mary and Nicolas Perez would like to thank all of the staff at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice for all of their time and dedication to our family. We would also like to thank Wilks Funeral Home for their care and support.
Visitation will be at the Victor LDS church on July 2, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM with graveside services and burial to follow at the Victor Cemetery.
