POCATELLO - Joseph Ward Badger, 85, of Pocatello passed away Saturday November 20th from complications due to Age. Joe was born in Brandon, Vermont on May 29, 1925 to Joseph and Marion Badger. On May 27, 1955 he married Norma Lloyd in Grace, ID. Joe served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years during World War II and the Korean War. He served as a a gunner on a torpedo bomber aboard the USS Saratoga in the Pacific. He moved to Pocatello in 1953 working as a fire underwriter for Farmers Insurance. Later Joe worked for Electrical Contractors and finally sold specialty advertising for H.W. Singleton Company before retiring in 1996 after losing his eye sight. Throughout his life Joe enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading, and especially his grandchildren. Joe was a former member of the Elks and Kiwanis Clubs. In later years Joe enjoyed playing cribbage and spending time with good friend Bob Campbell. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Ferrari. Joe is survived by wife Norma; brothers, Harry (Carol) Badger of Paul, Idaho and George Badger of Willow, Alaska; sister Helen (Stan) Lucero of Rupert, Idaho; sons Joseph (Kathy) Badger of Willard, Missouri and Michael (Bahareh Kheyrani) Badger of Stafford, Virginia, nine Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, also at Colonial Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to the funeral service.
