Jolene Bowman, 77, passed away peacefully at a local hospital February 18, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Jolene was born September 4, 1937 to James and Dora (Wakley) Evans. She grew up in Arimo, Idaho and graduated from North Marsh High School in 1955. She married Marlin Bowman on December 9, 1955.
Jolene enjoyed gardening, camping with her family, and spending time at her cabin in Leadore. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses that cared for her; their efforts will always be cherished.
Jolene is survived by her husband, Marlin Bowman, Pocatello; sons, Doug (Shirley) Bowman, Pocatello; Weldon Bowman, Pocatello; brothers, John (Sandra) Evans, Robin; Terry (Charlotte) Evans, Pocatello; Dale (Sally) Evans, Arimo; three granddaughters, Hollie Bowman, Twin Falls; Lacey (Jake) McCain, Twin Falls; and Kaitlin (Cade) Gilbert, Rockford, Idaho; and four great-grandchildren.
Jolene was preceded in death by her son, Brent Bowman and parents, Jim and Dora Evans.
Funeral services for Jolene will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, with Bishop Terry Adams conducting. A viewing will be held 6-8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. The interment will follow at the Arimo Cemetery at approximately 1:30-2:00 PM.
