John W. Warren

John Walter Warren quietly and without fanfare (much as he lived) exited this life in the early morning hours of September 15, 2017 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Born January 12, 1943 in Grace, Idaho to Ralph S and Zoy Davis Warren. He spent most of his early years in Etna, Wyoming, graduating from Star Valley High School in 1961.

On September 11, 1965, John married his sweetheart, Mary Hemmert in St. Charles, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 15, 1967. As a family we marked their 52 anniversary just last week.

John knew the value of work, being employed in the timber industry during his early years, then spending nearly 35 years in various capacities employed at Inkom's Ash Grove Cement Plant. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. Pitching horseshoes and softballs were also areas where he excelled. He made many lifelong friends through his employment, his various activities, and while serving within the church. Family was his priority.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, Inkom; Son, John (Lisa) Warren, Blackfoot; Daughter, Shantel (Kent) Morris, Inkom; Six Grandchildren; Sister, LaRue (Gary) Gates and Brother, Lane (Sandie) Warren of Arizona; Brother Gary (Marilyn) Warren, Soda Spring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; Brothers, Wendell and Ramon; Sister, Gayle; and infant brother, Ralph Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Inkom LDS Church, 150 Snow Peak Boulevard, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. There will also be a viewing held from 7:00-8:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road.
