POCATELLO-John Swartz, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 31, 2012. He was born August 1, 1971 in Long Beach, California. John grew up in Vancouver, Washington where he met and married Casey, the love of his life. In 2004 he, his wife and two sons relocated to Chubbuck, Idaho where he worked as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad. John enjoyed mountain biking, camping, fishing, cooking and most of all spending time with his family. All those that knew John will remember his goofy, funny, positive personality. John is survived by his wife Casey, sons Nathan, 22, Logan, 13, and granddaughter Raegan, 2. He is also survived by his sister Kym of Tennessee; parents-in-law Jerry and Marge Watkins; brother-in-law John Celoria of California; and brother and sister-in-law James and Carmen McClure and their daughters Hannah and Sarah of Oregon. He is preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Michele Swartz. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, June 5 th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 6 at Gate City Christian Church with a viewing one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. All are welcome to attend both the services and the graveside.
