John Roger Gadish was born on June 30, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Margaret Gadish. He grew up in Euclid, where he enjoyed sports, swimming and taking his boat out on the lake. At an early age, John worked at the gas station his father owned. It was there, his dad taught him how to work on cars.
After graduation, John helped move a friend out west, to Utah. He liked the area so much, he decided to stay. While in Utah, he met and married his first wife and moved to Pocatello, Idaho. The marriage ended in divorce, but blessed him with two children, Brandon and Mandy. John's kids were the light of his life, and he was so proud of both of them. They went camping, skiing, and took many vacations, including to Disneyland. They also spent many hours together in their large back yard pool. In Pocatello, John worked in different fields of technology for most of his life. His last job included working as a Manufacturing Technician at AMI, until he retired. His true passion was building and working with his hands. He owned almost every tool made, and there was nothing he couldn't fix or repair, from cars to appliances.
He used to say that God saves the very best for last, since it was in his later years that he was fortunate enough to find his soul mate and the love of his life. John and NaConna were married in 2012, and he was blessed once again with five "bonus" step children, who loved John, as much as he loved them. His kids and grandkids brought so much happiness to his life, especially as his health declined over the last few years.
As his world got smaller, John was deeply touched by the love and support he received from his wife, family, and friends. John took his final breath on December 30, 2022, surrounded by the people he loved.
John is survived by his wife, NaConna, and seven children: Brandon (Kenda) Gadish, Kennewick, Wash., Mandy (Mike) Ramirez, Eugene, Or., Rob (Jess) Comish, Idaho Falls, ID., Steph (Jeremy) Pocatello, ID., Shannon (Mike) Hughes, Emmett, ID., Katie (Scott) Brunger, Pocatello, ID., and Brandon (Andrea) Comish, Pocatello, brother, Ron (Barbara)Gadish, North Carolina, sister Donna Morris, Scappoose, Oregon, 29 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
