John Johnson Pevo, 49, of Pocatello, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home. John was born October 31, 1965, being the 6 th of eight siblings and the older brother of his twin, Johnie. John attended school in the American Falls District. At the time of his death he was employed at New Day Products as a craftsman. John was active in Special Olympics. He competed in basketball, bowling, track and field, as well as cycling. He attended many competitions where he received ribbons, medals and certificates. His favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed listening to oldies music especially Johnny Cash and watching movies, these made up his favorite pastimes. His favorite holidays were Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other hobbies John enjoyed were tanning hides, stick games and helping on the ranch with the family. He enjoyed watching his nieces, nephews and grandkids in various sports. John is survived by his twin brother, Johnie Johnston Pevo; parents, Kenneth and Elaine Pevo, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Delphina (Allan) Cootes, Berdleen (Dan) Sorrell, Trema (Oren) Washakie, Alberta (Ted) Williams, Susan (David Cerino, Jr.) Pevo, Steele (Wendy) Martin, Daeda (Duane) Pevo Laysbad, Bob Pevo, and numerous nieces, nephews & grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Richard Pevo, Jr. ; grandparents, Hugh & May Lipps Pevo; aunts, Dorothy Pevo George, Ruby Gladys Pevo; uncles Herbert W. Pevo and Roland LeClaire. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10 AM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500 with a viewing for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Following the services, burial will be at the Bannock Creek Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho.
