John "Jack" Partner Wright

March 25, 2019 — July 7, 2019

John "Jack" Partner Wright went back to his heavenly home on July 7, 2019 after a courageous three months of life. He was born March 25, 2019 to Philip and Emily Wright in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah. Jack was born with Heterotaxy Syndrome, which included congenital heart defects. Jack endured the first two months of his life at Primary Children's Hospital under the care of the excellent Pediatric Cardiology team of doctors and nurses. He came home to Pocatello, ID on May 22, 2019, where he spent his remaining days with his parents and extended family. To know Jack was to know of his strong spirit and determination to fight and beat the odds. His piercing brown eyes were the windows to his soul, along with his chubby cheeks and toothless smile, his tongue sticking in and out of his mouth. He brought joy to those around him. His days were filled surrounded by those who loved him. His daily morning naps with his dad, spending all day in his mom's arms sleeping, playing with Grandpa J on the mat, as well as working on his neck muscles by sitting up. He shared his big smiles with his mom, dad, and to those select few that were blessed to see him smile.

Jack is survived by his parents, along with his grandparents, George Johnson, John and Elizabeth Wright; great-grandparents, Sharleen and Harvey Partner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Tammy Johnson, who we are sure greeted him with open arms; as well as his uncles, Jesse and David Wright; and his great-grandparents, Rea Johnson, Sterling and Lelia Mason, and Edgar and Mary Lou Wright.

We are very thankful to the team at Primary Children's that took care of our boy and gave us the opportunity to bring him home for seven weeks to be a family and to have happy memories. To Dr. Adil Husain, who operated on our boy, for giving us optimism in times of struggle. To the wonderful nurses at Primary Children's that showed us love and kindness, as well as taking the best care of our boy. To JoAnn Pierce, for the wonderful care and love while at home with our Jack. To Dr. Cristy Leon, for her support while home with Jack and looking to the future we hoped to have and strived to provide him the best future. To Dr. Don McInturff, for going above and beyond in his care for Jack by coming to our home and being there in the end, fighting for us and our boy.

There will be a viewing on July 11, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home. His graveside services will be July 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, in section 54 West, near his Grandma Tammy.

We look forward to the day where we will see our Jack again.
