"Little John" was born at Portneuf Medical Center at 7:49 in the morning on September 22, 2008. He was 8 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches long. He was born with a heart condition known as Pulmonary Atresia, which was discovered 8 hours after his birth.
Little John was flown straight away to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah where he spent the first 3 weeks of his life. During his stay at Primary Children's Medical Center he endured 2 procedures; an insertion of a BT shunt and an angioplasty. One week after having major heart surgery he was released to go home to Pocatello.
Due to strict doctor's orders, Little John had to remain home and indoors constantly. His heart would not be able to withstand colds, flus and other illnesses. Tony and Marlo spent 2 wonderful months of parenting: feeding, burping and changing diapers. They spent every possible second with Little John since they knew they could lose him at any moment.
Little John loved to stare at his fist, and play with noisy toys. He loved to "chatter" at family.
Little John died on December 21, 2008. It was truly a joy to have him in their lives. Everyone will miss him greatly. Little John was preceded in death by his 2 grandfathers; John Clark Criddle & Charles Harlo Pelton.
Little John will be buried next to his Grandfather, John Clark Criddle in the Cambridge Cemetery.
