John Eric England, 61, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born on June 16, 1963, in Pocatello, Idaho, John was a lifelong resident and a pillar in the local community.
John graduated from Marsh Valley High School and soon after embarked on a successful career in masonry. He was the proud co-owner of J & L England Masonry, where his skilled craftsmanship can be seen in numerous significant projects across the region, including several local schools, medical centers, and commercial developments.
A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, John's faith was a guiding force in his life. His commitment to his community and church was evident through his active participation and service.
John's passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved motorcycles, fishing, camping, and boating. He also enjoyed traveling, exploring new restaurants, and cooking on his Traeger grill. Above all, John cherished spending time with his family.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Leslie; children Erika, Justin, Kylie, Jordan, and Shaylee; and siblings Annette, Belinda, Andrea, Lettie, Doug, and Jeanette. John was preceded in death by his parents, Lettie and Larry, as well as other beloved family members.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held at 12146 W Tyhee Road, Pocatello, ID. The Wilks Funeral Home in Chubbuck, Idaho, is assisting the family during this time. John will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; whose legacy will live on through his family and the lasting impact of his work.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12146 W Tyhee Road, Pocatello, ID. A viewing will be held prior beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Arimo Cemetery.
