John C. Hall

September 20, 1967 — November 21, 2015

John went to the arms of his precious daughter, Amber Kaye and father, John, Sr., November 21st 2015.

John is survived by his wife of twenty four and a half years, Trena Hall; his amazing children, Alecia (Zach) Jensen; Kaitlin Hall; Matthew Hall; his granddaughter, Aryss Kaye "Tidbit" Jensen "Jo Hansen"; his mother, Diane Hall; sister, Annie Hall; his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, five brother and sisters-in-law that always considered John a brother from another mother; and his wife's parents, who loved him as their own son.

John always said he was born in the wrong time period. He was a true mountain man at heart. The peace and comfort that he found at the top of a mountain was what kept him going through this life. Anything that was created by God was admired by John. Many hours were spent walking down streams, following trails that were to lead to a great meeting of deer and elk. John had so many opportunities to see things that not many other people do. Like a family of badgers walking down the road, right past his truck. John had a very deep love for the mountains. He said he had more spiritual experiences on the top of the mountain, but yet he was in church on Sundays because he knew he was strengthened and was able to strengthen others by going there, (except during hunting season, the mountains were his church then). His quiet side was that of the still peace you find in the mountains. He always said, "If I could pet an elk, I would never shoot another one." It was as if that was the quest. John was so kind. He was loved by so many people. John was one that could make anyone feel comfortable…and especially so if they had similar interest, yes, that would be anything to do with wildlife, dogs, horses or specifically guns. John was a competitive marksman in his youth and early adulthood. He traveled to many states and won many state and national competitions. This he did with only one eye. He had so much fun teasing people with his eye. He always used this as a motivation NEVER as an excuse.

John had an alter ego named "Corky." Many hours were spent in laughter and tears because of Corky. This talent may have been blessed with the fact that John was a coach for Special Olympics for many years. He always had a tender place for special needs people. He always figured if we could love like they do, the world would be a better place. Many accomplishments and experiences were his. Some were life changing, some just precious to him. He will be deeply and continuously missed by those whose lives he truly touched.
