Joann Judy

JoAnn Judy, 70, passed away, May 29, 2021 in Chubbuck, Idaho. She was born August 21, 1950 daughter of James E. and Jean Judy in Charleston, South Carolina. Her father, James was in the military and she moved around the country and eventually the family settled in San Diego, California. She married Thomas H. McCormack, together they had four children: Janelle, Leah, Westen, and Jennie. They were later divorced. JoAnn worked as an executive secretary most of her career, including but not limited to, working at School District 25, the INL., as well as a switchboard operator at the Bannock Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of an LDS women’s group called LADESSA. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings, and she particularly enjoyed visiting teaching and temple work.
In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, genealogy, and any outdoor activities such as skiing. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four grandchildren: Sione, Brea, Riley, Natavia, and a brother, Franklin.
She is survived by her four children; Janelle (Aaron Walton) McCormack, Leah McCormack, Westen McCormack, and Jennie McCormack, grandchildren; Kayla, Kenneth, Rebecca, Lillie, Carmen, Shane, Spencer, Skyler, Tanner, Alyssa, and Acean, great-grandchildren; Asher, Isabelle, Brooklyn, Abbigail, three siblings; John Dean, James Judy, and Janice Ashman.
She also had a close relationship with many nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Symbii Home Health and Home Helpers home care.
She will be taken to her place of rest at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho, in a horse drawn carriage at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 7, 2021. All arrangements are under the care of Wilks Colonial Chapel, Condolences may be made here online for the family.
