Jim Judkins

Thomas James Judkins (Jim or TJ), 69, returned home to his heavenly father, with his devoted wife and loyal dog by his side, on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born on April 23, 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho where he remained as a lifetime resident. Jim was raised in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High school. After HS, Jim joined and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Jim met and married Barbara (Bobbi) in 1967 and together they had two children Shauna and Brad. Jim was a devoted employee of the Union Pacific Fruit Express where he retired in 2007. In 1999, Jim met Beverley Jean Simnitt Olson. They were married March 19, 2005. He enjoyed family, his pets, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, Mountain Men Rendezvous, hiking and bicycling. Later, Jim became very active and enjoyed his callings and friendships he made in the LDS church. He is survived by his wife, Beverley Jean Judkins; two children, Shauna Anderson (Tory) and Brad Judkins; four step-children, Jeanne (Vernon) Washington, Jarrod (Nicola) Olson, Robyn (Cori) Powell and Crystal (Rich) Innes; brother, Daniel Dell Judkins; sister, Pamela Dell Clark; 23 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Adelbert and Venna Berniece Iverson Judkins; wife, Barbara (Bobbi) Jean Allman Judkins; brothers, Edward Eugene Judkins and Clarence Ralph Judkins; sister, Sharon Dee Judkins; and other cherished extended family members. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11 am at the LDS chapel, 4010 Hawthorne Rd. Chubbuck, ID 83202 (Corner of Hawthorne & Quinn Road) with a viewing for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
