Jesse Jack Wynn of Fort Hall, Idaho, passed away at his home surrounded by the love and admiration of family and friends.
Jesse was born in Pocatello to Harley B. & Velma M. Wynn. He attended school at Tyhee, Grace, Soda Springs and Bancroft. He didn't complete his sophomore year. Jess was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1960 at 6'8" he was too tall for Army uniforms, the beds and even being able to go to Vietnam. He was assigned to be a part of the Army Signal Corps; which was typing, coding and encoding; he had top secret clearance. When he was discharged after 2 years 2 months and 10 days he had gone from 160 pounds to 225 pounds.
Jesse was married twice: Luana K. Carlsen on June 29, 1963, they had two children together and divorced 14 years later. He then met Carol "CJ" Tillotson in Clear Lake, CA. Carol had 6 children and grandchildren when they met. They married on June 19, 2000 in Fort Hall.
Jesse worked operating heavy equipment; he worked building many of the things we know today: I-15, the Teton Dam and the Boise connector to only name a few. He also would shoe horses in the surrounding area. He participated in rodeos in the bulldogging event. He broke horses and was an accomplished horseman.
Jesse has said his proudest moments were becoming a parent and grandparent. He loved kids, horses, dogs and smiling at pretty girls. Jesse had a big grin that could change your day. He always helped friends and family alike and loved to cook and BBQ for them.
He is survived by: his children, Kolleen Wynn-Gallipeau, of Boise, ID, Casey Wynn of Pocatello, ID, brother, Gary D. Wynn of Inkom, ID, Tuesday Jenkins of Fargo, ND, Natalie Ann Cruze of Lake Port, CA, Cedric Jack of OH, Troy Jack of CA, Ronnie Jack of CA, Marlon Jack of CA; 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by; his mother and father; wife, Carol "CJ" Wynn; brothers, Harley W. Wynn, Bobby W. Wynn, Leo E. Wynn, Patrick C. Wynn, and nephews Sonny B. Wynn, Justin Wynn and Gregg Wynn.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Family will receive friends prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home starting at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
