Jerry Lee Christensen

December 13, 1949 — January 2, 2024

Jerry Lee Christensen, 74 passed away 2 January 2024, at home in Meridian, Idaho. He was born December 13, 1949 in Pocatello, Idaho to Gene and Nina Jean Christensen. Jerry started first grade at Lincoln School and finished grade school at Tendoy Elementary School. He attended Alameda Junior High School and took band, learning to play the clarinet. He played football his Sophomore and Junior year and graduated from Highland HS May 1969.


Jerry enlisted in the army in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1972. After being released, Jerry went to school at ISU Vo-Tech and studied electronic drafting. Receiving straight A’s, his teachers put him into a higher tech program, learning to make electronic chips. After graduating he went to work in Santa Clara, California doing art work for electronic chips. In time Jerry decided to go back to school and studied computer programming. He graduated with his second Associates of Arts Degree, this time in computer programming. he then made his home in Boise, Idaho working for the Idaho Transportation Department in their programing department until he retired in 2009.


 Jerry was an avid fisherman, loved sports and camping.


Jerry is survived by his siblings: David Christensen, Brent (JoAnn) Christensen, Patty (Kevin) Farnsworth, Karen (Boyde) Chatterton and Debbie (Blaine) Paulsen. He was proceeded in death by his parents, older sister Gwen Jaramillo and sister-in-law Nelda Christensen.


No public services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Accent and Wilkes Funeral Homes.
