Jennie Hill

March 23, 1954 — March 31, 2024

Our beloved family member, Jennie Claire Pedersen Hill, 70, passed away Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, from her long brave battle with lung cancer.

Jennie was born in Idaho Falls on March 23, 1954. Her birth mother was Dorothy Burrows Lyon and Jennie's parents were Gene and Levoix Hansen Pedersen. She was so loved by a blended family of nine other siblings, a grandmother, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Jennie was heartbroken to lose her child after birth in 1974, that she had with a previous husband. She named her beautiful tiny girl, Jamie Lee.

Jennie married the love of her life, Rick Hill on December 2, 1984, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They were happy together and shared fun times with friends. Sadly, Rick passed away on August 20, 2019.

Her school years began in Idaho Falls then the family moved to Pocatello, where she attended Roosevelt, Irving Jr. High, and graduating from Pocatello High School in 1973.

In 1982 Jennie worked in the Bannock County Magistrate Court for Judge Hammond. She retired as the Magistrate Court Bonds & Fines Supervisor in 1996.

Jennie enjoyed gathering with friends and camping up Mink Creek, playing pinochle, enjoying the sunshine in Mexico on the beach, and in past years she loved to golf.

Jennie is survived by her siblings, Claudia Pedersen, Julia Simpson Croft (Ron), Dean Simpson (Chris), Ken Simpson (Cheryl), Jim Simpson (Trudy), Lynn Pedersen, Joicanne Pedersen Likness (Leroy), Vendora Pedersen Manska (Roger), and Lindsay Pedersen Steed.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Colonial Chapel, 2005 South 4th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the tribute wall tab above.
