Jeffrey Todd Meline

Jeffrey Todd Meline, 60, passed away on August 16, 2023, in Chubbuck, Idaho.

Jeff fulfilled a special and existential purpose for everyone.  He inspired others to learn lessons that did not require a word to be spoken; nor for recognition to be extended.  Jeff brought out the best in others and extended to everyone the opportunity to exercise unconditional love, patience, perseverance, and acceptance.  Jeff taught meekness, humility, gratitude, and gentleness that leads to true happiness and healing due to life's individual challenges.  Jeff gave a perspective of what everyone's potential and endless possibility truly holds.

Jeff was a special spirit and when he was in the room, you felt so much love.

Jeff enjoyed food (especially M&M's and McDonalds french fries with family, friends, and dedicated caregivers throughout his life.  Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday.  He liked pulling practical jokes and teasing in his unique ways.  He loved to be outside and walk.  He was always grateful to be out in the community whether it was shopping, fishing, a movie, or a trip to Lava.  It was the highlight of his family's year to have Jeff home for the holidays.  No matter the circumstance, Jeff made time with him special.

Thank you to the amazing staff at Developmental Options for loving and caring for Jeff on a daily basis.  They were also part of his family.  We will forever be grateful for the opportunities that they provided to him.

We would like to thank the first responders and medical staff at both Portneuf and EIRMC for the amazing care they gave to Jeff while he was there.  We are also very grateful for Symbii Home Health and Hospice for helping us to get Jeff home to be with his family and friends before his passing.  

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann Meline; grandparents Irven and Elvira Meline and Ed and Alta Swallow; aunts and uncles Ron and Karen Swallow, Robert Meline, Saundra Swallow, Ora Davis, and Roberta Meline.

He is survived by his parents Jay and Judy Meline; siblings Tiffany and Mike Harper, Jayson and Dianabeda Meline, Jolene and Gib Hofmeister, Christine and Kevin Steinlicht, Connie and Floyd Evans, Charlie and Tracy Woodruff, and Amy and Matt Manning; 32 nieces and nephews, 10 aunts and uncles, several great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Jeff and his family would request donations be made to Developmental Options in memory of Jeff Meline, 415 S. Arthur Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho 83204. 

A viewing will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home in Chubbuck, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
