Jeffery "Jeff" Michael Mechling

Jeffrey Michael Mechling, 57, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home. Jeff was born the 4th of 7 children to Chester and Lydia Mechling in Mishawaka, Indiana. He graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1979. Jeff married Julie Ann Hepp on September 7, 1985. This Thursday would have been their 32 anniversary. Together they had one son, Derek Mechling. Jeff loved gardening, fishing, watching football, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was actually the biggest fan of his son, Derek, who played at Century High School. He never missed a game. Jeff is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Mechling, Chubbuck, ID; son, Derek Mechling; parents, Chester and Lydia Mechling, ID; siblings, Denise (Archie) Ioannides, NE, David Mechling, ID, Cheryl Mechling, CA, Heidi Mechling, ID, Lisa (Jerry) Streetman, TX, Scot (Lissette) Mechling, TN; and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16 , 2017 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
