Jeff Scott Neilsen

Jeffrey Scott Neilsen, 60, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017, at his home in Bannock Creek. Jeff was born June 3, 1957 in Pocatello Idaho, son of Lenard and Connie Neilsen. He grew up on Poole Avenue and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1975. Following high school he attended ISU Vo-tech in diesel mechanics. Jeff met and married Rebecca Butterfield and was married for over 38 years but was together for 40. They have two wonderful children, BJ and Brittney. Jeff worked for Coca-Cola Company for 40 years, starting at the ground floor with the loading crew and moved up to operations manager. One of the last operations managers in the organization as it is such a huge job. He retired at the end of March, and everyone knew and loved him as "the Coke man". Jeff loved to go golfing. He always took to each hobby with a passion, first bowling, then shooting, and basketball and later enjoyed snow machining for many years with his with Becky's brother Mike. He loved his "Fridays" with his brother Mike. He was quiet in demeanor but very competitive in sporting activities. He had enough winnings from tournaments that he bought a complete set of clubs for Becky and they had a year and a half of golf fun together. He is survived by his sweetheart, Becky Neilsen, son, BJ Neilsen, Hollywood, California, daughter, Brittney Neilsen, Pocatello Idaho, grandsons, Charlie Cominotti, Daegen Cominotti and granddaughter Jacoba Rydalch, all of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Neilsen, grandparents, Guy and Hazel Bolingbroke, and Mervyn and Velda Neilsen. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the LDS church, 3444 Hawthorne Rd., Pocatello Idaho. A viewing will be held from 5 until 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave., Pocatello, ID, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
