Jeanne Hand was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on October 27, 1935 to Sylvesta Lowe Whitaker and Retha Elizabeth Craner Whitaker. Jeanne grew up in Twin Falls, attending school there and graduating from Twin Falls High School.
Jeanne later moved to Pocatello where she raised her children. Later on in life she met George Hand in Phoenix, Arizona. They had 35 ½ wonderful years of marriage living in Arizona, California and Pocatello, Idaho.
Jeanne was a member of the Pocatello Art Center for many years and enjoyed a membership in the Quilting Guild. She loved traveling and going on cruises. She also enjoyed art and quilting.
Above all, Jeanne loved her family and her Heavenly Father.
The family of Jeanne would like to extend a big Thank You to Symbii Hospice Care for their attention and love during her final weeks.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, George of Pocatello, Idaho; her daughters, Teresa Trego of Pocatello, Idaho, and DeDe (Roger) Murphy; her son, Doug Rhodes of Phoenix, Arizona; stepdaughter, Vanessa Hand of Portland, Oregon; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building on Butte Street. A viewing will begin one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
