Our loving wife and mother, Jeanette Hansen Buckley, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. Jeanette was the sixth child born to Amy Hoyt Porter and Heber Janus Hansen. She was raised in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1956. She resided in Pocatello, Idaho her entire life. She met and fell in love with Ralph Clark Buckley and on July 29, 1958 they eloped to Elko, Nevada. Two years later they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have been happily married for nearly 60 years. Mom and dad were blessed with 5 children whom they lovingly raised. Moms hobbies include reading, crocheting, sewing, and she and dad loved square dancing together and did so for over 20 years. They made many lasting friendships during that time. She was very active in church. Mom and dad loved to serve others. They worked in the Idaho Falls Temple faithfully for over 10 years. She fulfilled many responsibilities and callings and blessed the lives of more people than we will ever know. Mom was also very involved with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Over the last few years she volunteered her time at Tendoy Elementary School and loved the children and teachers she helped. Mom enjoyed life and made it fun for everyone. Moms life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They mean everything to her. She was always the first to "Like" something on social media and loved to keep in contact with friends near and far with Facebook. She was very good about following promptings to call a friend or reach out to someone in need. Our Angel Mother is survived by her husband; her children, Lynn (Susan), Curt (Shannon), Jill (Chris) Gibson, Tami (Robert) Merrill and Brett (Stephanie). She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and another one on the way. Our mother was loved by many and will be missed by all!
