Leora "Jean" Harris, 61, of Pocatello, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was born in Rexburg, ID, on July 3, 1951, to Daniel and Elna Hopkins. They lived in Tetonia until she was 8 years old and then moved to Pocatello. She attended Washington Elementary, Franklin Junior High, and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969. Jean met Clifford Harris and the two were married on August 17, 1973, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they raised 4 children: Mac, Michael, Lennie, and Dennis. She worked many retail jobs but her primary focus was staying at home caring for her children and grandchildren. Jean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings including Young Women's President, Primary President and also worked in the Idaho Falls Temple. She enjoyed hand work, crocheting, cross stitching, ceramics, grandkids, scrap books, quilting, grandkids, reading, and spending time with grandkids. Jean was a quiet, old fashioned, loving person with a positive attitude. She is survived by her husband, Clifford of American Falls; son L. Mac Harris of American Falls; son Michael (Lori) Harris of Richfield, UT; daughter Lennie (Ryan) Hanson of Elko, NV; son Dennis (Alicia) Harris of Silverdale, WA; six grandchildren Katie, Kaleb and Carson Harris, Ethan, Addyson, Olivia and baby girl Hanson (due Oct 2012); brothers Daniel (June) Hopkins of Enumclaus, WA, and Jerry (Nola) Hopkins of Pocatello; sisters Mary Ann Hansen of Seattle, WA, and Marleed (Boyd) McAffee of Orem, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Brent Hopkins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2012 at the American Falls 2nd Ward Chapel, located at the American Falls Stake Center, 111 Church Place. A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Cache-Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia. Video Tribute:
