POCATELLO - Jean Collins, 60, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from respiratory failure at a local hospital with her family by her side. She was born on October 1, 1951, with her twin sister Joy in Cascade, Idaho, to Howard and Helen Pattan. She was raised in Pocatello as one of six sisters. Jean married Douglas Coffin on August 22, 1970. Together they had 4 children. They later divorced. She met Calvin Collins in 1981 in Twin Falls while they were both working at casinos in Jackpot, NV. Jean and Calvin were together for 26 years and were married on February 29, 1996 . Calvin died in 2007. Jean worked in the casinos and loved it. She started as a Keno Supervisor at Cactus Pete's and later went to Barton's 93 where she was a dealer and a pit boss. The casinos fit her personality because of how happy she was and her ability to make anybody laugh. She had a strong faith and was a non-denominational Christian. Jean lived a simple life and found happiness in it. She enjoyed reading and playing games. She is survived by her daughter Denise Coffin-McGovern of Pocatello; daughter Angela Coffin-Tollerud of Boise; son Benny D Coffin of Shoshone, sister Karen Coleman of Pocatello; sister Sandy McArthur of Pocatello; twin sister Joy Lemmons of Pocatello; and 4 grandchildren Shane, Mandy, Baylee, and Leyla. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Calvin, son Dion; sisters Patricia Lynch and Holly Wilson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave.
