Jared Frederick Werner, 49, passed away on December 6, 2024.
Born in Utah, Jared grew up in Texas and later attended high school in Pocatello, Idaho, where he forged lasting friendships and developed talents.
A man of many skills, Jared was a talented carpenter whose craftsmanship reflected his dedication and creativity. He was also a whiz with computers and had a love for gaming, where his quick thinking and strategic mind truly shined.
Jared was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, finding faith and strength in his beliefs. His greatest joy was his son, Jaden, who held a special place in his heart.
Jared loved fishing, searching for antique glass treasures, and spending time with his beloved cats, who brought him comfort and companionship.
Known for his gentle, kind heart, Jared had a unique ability to connect with people. Whether fixing cars, offering a listening ear, or lending a helping hand, he was always there for anyone in need. He was especially devoted to his mother, whose life he enriched with his constant care and support.
Jared will be remembered for his kindness, boundless generosity, and the joy he brought to everyone he met.
Jared is survived by his son, Jaden Stephenson, of Sweethome, Oregon, his mother, Linda Gatewood, of Blackfoot, Idaho, his brothers, Steve (Trish) Werner, of Willis, Texas, David (Cristina) Werner, of St. George, Utah, Aaron (Angela) Werner, of Hurricane, Utah, and Preston (Monica) Heath, of Hurricane, Utah, his sisters, Jenny (Ray) Collier, of Blackfoot, Idaho, Rachel (Shane) Werner/Fisher, of Swan Valley, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
Jared is preceded in death by his father, Randy Werner.
A viewing will be held to honor Jared's life on Friday, December 13, at Wilks Funeral Home in Chubbuck, Idaho, from 9:00 am-10:30 am followed by a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery, in Pocatello, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in his memory, continuing the legacy of love he left behind.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
