Jane Mittelstedt

Jane Mittelstedt, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at home in Blackfoot, ID. She was born on November 11, 1936 in Pocatello, ID to Joseph and Rosella Cutler. She grew up in Fort Hall, ID as a proud member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe. She attended school at Tyhee Elementary and Pocatello High School. Jane married Richard (Dick) H. Mittelstedt. He passed away on 7/14/1988. They spent a period of time in Orofino, ID then moved to Blackfoot, ID living there for more than 50 years. Jane worked at Basic American Foods for over 20 years and retired as the program manager for the Meals on Wheels program (SEICCA) in Pocatello, ID. She was a member of the Episcopalian faith. Jane enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed growing a garden and planting flowers, watching Westerns and murder mysteries. Her favorite was sipping on ice cold Coca Cola. She is survived by her brother, Curtis Cutler of Fort Hall, ID; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many that loved and called her grandma. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Joseph (Joe) Roy Cutler; sisters, Gladys McDaniel, Yvonne Oliver; daughter, Utahna L. Hibbs and son, Bud Mittelstedt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:30 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID with a visitation from 11 - 11:30 am prior to the services. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
