James John Cook

James "John" Cook passed away September 19, 2019 due to an extended illness. John was born November 3, 1960 to Jerry and Ada Cook. He was raised in Pocatello until 1969 when the family moved to Montana. He also lived in Utah and in 2018 he moved back to Pocatello due to health. John had various jobs throughout his life with the last 10 years being with Humphry Property Management in Boise, Idaho. In his younger years John loved to bowl and golf occasionally. But mostly he loved camping and fishing with his family at Ruby and Stone Reservoirs. Family reunions were his favorite place to be. John is survived by his children, Kasey, Joshua and Tara; grandchildren, Raymond, Trinity, Angelina, Eliza and Oliver; brother, Joe (LouAnn) Cook; sister, Debbie (Fred) Hendrickson; nephew, Jerry James "JJ" (LisaLee/Nolyn) Cook; and niece, Joanna (Jimmy/Harley) Hix. John is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Ada Cook; grandparents, Elwin and Maxine Call, and Judd and Jeane Cook; and several uncles and aunts. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 South 5 th Avenue, Pocatello.
