James Arthur Mcevoy

James “Jim” Arthur Campbell McEvoy, age 73, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home in Pocatello.
Jim was born November 16, 1937 to Edward Albert McEvoy and Thurza Jane Chastain in Gooding, Idaho. Thurza and Ed later divorced. Thurza married Lloyd Earl Campbell May 3, 1942. Jim grew and loved his new Dad. The family settled in Shoshone where they owned and operated a salvage yard.
Jim graduated from Shoshone High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April of 1955 and served until October of 1961. After his military service he attended and graduated from trade school in Pocatello.
Jim married Barbara Dusenbery. They had a daughter, Kandy and moved from Shoshone. They were later divorced. He then married Sally Barrett McCullough in Boise and they moved to Pocatello. Sally passed away in 1974. On June 2, 1979, Jim married Dorothy Ann Bradshaw in Elko, Nevada.
Jim was hired by Union Pacific Railroad in March 1972. He worked as a Master Machinist with U.P.R.R. until he retired March 25, 1995. Jim loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a very unusual craft maker. He like to use computer disks to make coasters, wind chimes, etc… He was also known to tell some giant fish stories.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy McEvoy, Pocatello; a daughter, Kandy Pannel, Rockland; three stepdaughters, Marie Hunter, Anita Annala, both of Pocatello; Candy McCullough, Boise; two stepsons, Francis Annala, St. Paul, Minn; Johnny McCullough, Boise; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by a wife, Sally McCullough; his parents, Edward McEvoy, Lloyd and Thurza Jane Campbell; son-in-law, Vern Pannel; a grandson, Zachary Raymond Fuller; four sisters, Bessie Hollibaugh, Lilly Simmons, Leona Hammer and Ruth Palfreyman.
Jim's last wishes were to not have a public service. Graveside services will be held privately in Boise at a later date.
