Jamaal Kent Bell was born October 3, 2003 in Blackfoot, Idaho... Born three weeks early via emergency c-section, Jamaal entered the world early. Unexpectedly On July 5, 2024, He left this world far too soon!
Jamaal lived in Blackfoot, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah for a few years before eventually settling in Pocatello, with his mother, Nickkie Simmons-Perry, and younger siblings: sister Sariaa Bell, and brothers Daamein Simmons, and Gabe Thomas. Jamaal graduated from New Horizon High School in 2022.
Jamaal loved all music, the louder it thumped the better! Jamaal enjoyed playing video games, watching sunsets, and spending time with loved ones around a bonfire. His true love, besides his mama, was working on his Chevy Impala. He was determined to fix it up and get running well enough to pass “OSHA” standards.
Regardless if you were related to him, or one of his homies, everyone Jamaal loved was his family. He was caring, protective, and a big comedian. Jamaal could be stubborn, and stood up for what he believed in, regardless of consequences. He made mistakes in his life like everyone else, but he was smart enough to learn and grow from those mistakes. He had the potential to do great things in this world, but we know he is watching out for us doing great things on the other side.
Every time we hear loud bumpin’ music we will know Jamaal is with us, and telling us to smile and live every day to the fullest.
Jamaal is survived by his parents Warren Bell of Salt Lake City UT, Nickkie (Spencer) Simmons-Perry of Pocatello, Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Keith Simmons, NaNa Ernestine Owens and too many siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins to list. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Big Warren, his cousin Jaxson, Great-Grandma Allen, Great-Grandma and Grandpa Simmons and Uncle Dennis Ricks. Private services will be held with family and close friends on July 13, 2024 at Wilks Funeral Home.
