Jacqueline D. Barnes Gotfredson

Jacqueline "Jackie" Dean Barnes Gotfredson, 82, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, in Salt Lake City, Ut. She was born on September 24, 1930, in Pasadena, CA, to Arnold and Thrintje "Theresa" Ratzlaff. In her younger years she loved to speed skate with her first husband and brother. With her first husband, she also loved to do a mean jitterbug, square dance and play tennis. Jackie chose to quit school to raise her family. She decided to go back and get her high school diploma. She graduated in 1968, the same year as her middle daughter, Connie. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and knitting. She donated many of her handmade blankets. She also loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Jackie was a member of the PTMA, an ATV club. She enjoyed camping and riding ATV's. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands who both passed away from cancer, her brother Richard Lee Ratzlaff who died 9 days prior to her and grandson Michael Lee Wilson II. She is survived by her husband James Gotfredson, ID; daughters Melinda Herndon, OR, Connie (Mike) Wilson, ID, Wendy (Bill) Tatum, TX; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with one more on the way; cousin Donna (Rich) Middlebrough, CA; step-children Jimmy (Mary) Gotfredson, WY, Hailey (Greg) White, ID. Jackie will be missed by many. Jackie's wishes were for a private family gathering, which has already been held.
