Jack T Worley

Jack Thomas Worley, born April 19, 1935 to Wallace and Mary Marthine Robinson Worley, passed away peacefully in his home on February 14, 2019. A lifetime Pocatello resident, Jack attended Pocatello High School from 1949 to 1953. He then served in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from 1954 to 1956. While enlisted, Jack married Elaine Bybee in 1955 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Idaho Falls Temple. Together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until Elaine's passing in 2015. Jack was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also enjoyed camping, hiking, photography, genealogy and scenic drives. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family. With 30 years of service, Jack retired from the Idaho State Tax Commission in 1997. The following year Jack and his wife were called to serve in the Washington, D.C. South mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack's retirement years were filled with temple service, traveling to visit family, friends and relatives, and caring for loved ones. He is survived by his brother, David (Lianna) Worley; his six children, Angela (Mark) Harrild, Arlene (Ken) Moore, Reed (Elba) Worley, Diane (Ken) Austin, Darren (Sheila) Worley, and John (Amy) Worley; 33 grandchildren, and 47 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clide, Dean (Dorthy Lee) and Boyd (Francis) Worley; and his sister, Pearl (Karl) Friedel; and granddaughter, Heidi Moore. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave, Pocatello, ID, on Wednesday, February 20 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pocatello West Stake Center, 3444 Hawthorne Road on Thursday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing for one hour prior. Following the services, Jack will be put to rest alongside his wife at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
