Jack was born on March 14, 1929 in Nampa, Idaho. His family moved to Glennsferry, Idaho when he was a young child. He and his brothers enjoyed the small town life and attended school there. He graduated from Glennsferry High in 1947. In June of 1948, in the midst of the Korean War jack joined the Navy, where he proudly served on the USS Boxer. After serving in the Navy, Jack attended Boise Junior College, earning an Associate's Degree in business in 1953.
In 1954 Jack married the love of his life, Frances Reusser. They enjoyed being together and brought 6 children into the world, one dying shortly after birth. Jack and Fran relocated several times in their young marriage. This was due to Jacks success in his role as store director with Albertsons. Eventually in 1969 they settled in Pocatello, where they continued to enjoy each other and raise their family. Sadly Fran passed away in April of 1977.
Jack was affiliated with the Masonic Order.
