POCATELLO " Iver Richard Mittelstedt, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2010 in Soda Springs, Idaho.
Iver was born February 23, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho to Cora G. (Hendrickson) and Lester Richard Mittelstedt. In November 1954, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for two years when he was released in November of 1956. He married Dyrace Elayne Weber and they became the parents of two children.
Iver was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was active with his participation with the local Elks Lodge and the American Legion while he was in San Pablo, California. His hobbies were camping, fishing and going south for the winters for the past 19 years.
Iver is survived by his wife, Dyrace E. Mittelstedt, Pocatello; daughter, Debbie Mittelstedt, Caldwell; two sisters, Anna Mae Zundel and Marion Gooch, both of Alameda, California; and his “adopted granddaughter,” Bailee Riesberg and her parents J.J. and Kim Riesberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Lester Mittelstedt, a brother, Howard Mittelstedt, his twin sister, Iva Durbin and son, Rick Mittelstedt.
