Iva Jean Turner, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at St. Luke hospital in Boise, ID surrounded by her family. Iva Jean was born in Hinckley, UT and later moved to Pingree, ID. It was there that she spent her childhood with her family and eventually graduated from high school. After graduating from high school Iva Jean married Ronny Schritter. Shortly thereafter they divorced and she met and married George Turner. Iva Jean had five children: Mark, Marla, Dennis, Craig, and George. Iva Jean worked at Lamb Weston for 30 years. Where she met and had many friends. During her retirement and throughout her life she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She always enjoyed going to the temple and spending time with her family home evening group. She also enjoyed various crafts including crocheting. She spent many hours making blankets for many of her family members. Iva Jean is survived by her sons: Mark, Dennis (Cindy), George, daughter: Marla (Larry Bingaman), sisters: Vera Schritter, Marva (Vernon) Barnes, and her brother: Earl Young. She was proceeded in death by her parents Willliam and Orissa Young, husband George Turner, brother in law Chris Schritter, sister Nola(Nick) DiViesti, sister R. Lee Young, and her brother Robert Taylor. Iva Jean had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She considered them all her children and many of them called her mom. A graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave.
