Iris Schelske

February 6, 1949 — September 2, 2012

Iris Schelske, 63 of Aberdeen returned to her Heavenly Father as she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday September 2nd 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is the first child of Douglas and Maurine Driscoll born on Feb 6th 1949. She was raised in the Sterling/Aberdeen area with her three sisters and two brothers. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1967 and then went on to attend Utah State and Idaho State University. On January 25th, 1969 she married her loving husband Richard Schelske. Together they had two daughters Chana & Amber.

She was an amazing wife & mother who created a loving home for her family. In 1985 Iris continued her education at Idaho State University graduating on the dean's list in 1988 with her bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She started teaching career in the fall of 1988 for the Aberdeen 6th grade. She blessed the lives of many students for 23 years. She had a great love for reading and playing the piano, her beautiful flowers, cooking, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities.

Iris is survived by her husband Richard Schelske of Aberdeen. Her daughters Chana (Jeff Duffin) grandchildren Jake, Bo and Sophia, of Aberdeen. Amber (Rick Giesbrecht) grandchildren Gabrielle and Hannah, of Meridian. Mother Maurine Driscoll of Aberdeen. Sisters Andrea Myler, Nancy George, Shelley Driscoll and brothers Jeff & Mart Driscoll.

She is preceded in death by her father Douglas Driscoll of American Falls.
