Irene Elizabeth Kearn

March 27, 1931 — April 3, 2016

Irene Elizabeth Racette Kearn passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016. She was born March 27, 1931 in Clyde County, Kansas. She was the oldest daughter of Pete and Melise Racette. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1948.

Irene married Duane E. Kearn April 17, 1948. Together they raised three children. She and Duane enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. They had a cabin in Island Park where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends snowmobiling. Once they retired they spent the winters in Parker Dam, California; golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends. They celebrated 64 years together. Irene was always up for a game of cards and she was an active member of Curves.

She is survived by her sons Mark (DiAnn) Kearn, Pocatello, ID. Kevin (Gaye) Kearn, Lyman, WY. and her daughter Jackie (Shane) Coffin, Pocatello, ID. Six grandchildren: Kent, Darci, Danielle, Kristana, Jilli, and Shayna. Five step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and 11 step great-grandchildren. As well as: two sisters, one brother, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Section 54 West of Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
