Irene Deloris Lawrence born March 12, 1936 in Stockton, CA - Born to John Victor Martinez, Sr and Guadalupe Anita (Arguelles) Martinez, passed away quietly in her home on May 2, 2016.
In Irene's younger years she worked for the FBI and then met and wed Denny Lawrence at that time Irene decided that raising a family had become the important part of her life and took a leave of absence from working. Irene and Denny then moved to Santa Rosa to raise the family and also had a small farm. When the children were a lot older they then moved to Shelley, ID, during this time Irene and Denny were divorced. When the last of the children completed school, Irene decided to rejoin the FBI to have a career of her own. She then moved to Washington DC to complete her training for a few years, and then moved back to Pocatello, ID to live and continue working for local FBI Center. She traveled extensively while working for the FBI on special cases.
When Irene retired, she then moved to Fort Hall and purchased a small farm and made working on her "miniature farm" a priority of her life. She enjoyed taking care of them and spending hours with them. Irene also loved spending time with family whenever possible and she cherished time she could spend with her Grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her sons, Richard (Lori) Lawrence Idaho Falls, ID, Dennis (Lisa) Lawrence Parker, CO, Darrell Lawrence Forth Hall, ID and daughter, Anita Casamento Potomac Falls, VA, a sister, Aurora Ramirez Texas, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Charles Lawrence, parents and brother.
A memorial service for Irene will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. A gathering for friends and family will begin at 10:30 and go until service time prior to the celebration of her life. The interment will follow the services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelley.
