Humberto Bonilla

Humberto Bonilla Sr., known to family and friends as Papo or Mike, was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on February 23rd, 1953. He was raised in New York City from the time he was 18 months old. It was while living on Jackson Ave in the Bronx that he met his beloved wife, Santa. They have spent over 49 years of their lives together. He followed his wife, Santa, to Pocatello, Idaho almost 5 years ago. Humberto enjoyed playing chess, watching NFL football, reading murder mysteries, and watching Charlie Chan movies. His favorite sports team was the Miami Dolphins.

Humberto leaves behind his wife, Santa, and his 5 children, Yadira, Jasmine (Marcial), Jacqueline (Scott), Humberto Jr. (Crystal), and Michael (Dawn). He was a beloved Grandpa, PopPop, and Welo to 10 grandchildren, 9 grandsons and 1 beloved granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Liborio Bonilla and Fermina Martinez. His family held private services on what would have been Humberto's 68th birthday, February 23rd, 2021.
