Howard Marsden Strandy passed away peacefully at the Veterans Home in Pocatello on February 5, 2023. He was born in Buhl, Idaho on September 19, 1931 to Howard and Helen Strandy. He had a sister, Sherry.
Howard served in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He then enlisted a second time. He was very proud to serve his country.
On January 10, 1958, he married Amparo Garcia in El Paso, Texas. They had 3 children, Richard, Tommy and Lynne. In 1985 they divorced.
Howard worked as a painter at Bucyrus Erie in Pocatello, and later as a laborer at Lamb Weston in American Falls. He also did Auto Body and Upholstery work.
Howard enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working and building models.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Helen and his sister, Sherry. Howard is survived by his children, Richard, Tommy and Lynne and his grandsons, Christopher, Mathew and Anthony.
